The European Adventist Youth Congress (AYC) is a success thanks to the help of more than 150 volunteers.

In 2017, we are giving you the opportunity once again to be a part of this congress as a volunteer.

Volunteers must commit themselves to perform the task they are assigned with excellence and in a timely manner. Their work and effort will result in the blessing of the many youth that will attend this congress. No task is too small.

As a way of showing gratitude for their service, AYC covers the accommodation and food expenses for volunteers.
Volunteers will need to cover their travel expenses as well as make their own transportation arrangements to and from Valencia, Spain.

Volunteers are expected to respect the philosophy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church whilst volunteering at AYC.

How do I apply to be a volunteer?

If you are interested in serving this congress with your skills as a volunteer, you must fill in the volunteer application form by May 1, 2017. You will be asked to provide references and a recommendation letter from your local church pastor.

Are there any age restrictions to become a volunteer?

You must be at least 18 years old to be a volunteer.

When do I need to arrive in Valencia?

Because volunteers are such a vital part of making the congress a success, we want to invest in them and spend a special weekend together in preparation for this congress. This means they must arrive in Valencia on Friday, July 28, 2017.

What dates do I need to volunteer for?

As a volunteer, you should plan to arrive on Friday, July 28, 2017 and leave on Sunday, August 6, 2017. The congress programme officially begins in the evening of Tuesday, August 1, 2017 and ends in the evening of Saturday, August 5, 2017.

As a volunteer, will I have time to enjoy the Congress programme?

Your task as a volunteer requires a 100% commitment, and instead of enjoying the congress as a participant, you will enjoy it from behind the scenes. You will have the priceless opportunity of making a difference in the lives of thousands of young people through your service. Also, volunteers will have their own special spiritual programme, so you will not miss out on important opportunities to grow spiritually, meet and make new friends that last for a lifetime and feel the satisfaction of serving others with love and care.

What language skills do I need to be a volunteer?

As a volunteer, you must speak English fluently. It is desirable that you also speak other languages such as: Spanish, French, German, Italian, etc, but not essential.

When is the registration deadline?

The registration deadline is May 1, 2017. Make sure you register as soon as possible, though. :-)

If you live in Spain, you will receive an email about whether you have been chosen as a volunteer or not by June 10, 2017.
